The Mirror Chapel and the Clementinum church
The first three tickets are sold by the same agency, and they share the soprano Eva Müllerová and the violinist Viktor Mazáček of the Royal Czech Orchestra. The programmes overlap heavily: Vivaldi’s Spring and Summer, the Lacrimosa from Mozart’s Requiem, Smetana’s Vltava and Beethoven’s Fifth appear on all three.
- The €30.77 Mirror Chapel ticket lists two starting times. The 6 pm concert adds the organist Robert Hugo, titular organist of St. Salvator Church; the 8 pm concert has the pianist Stanislav Gallin instead.
- The other Mirror Chapel ticket is the piano version and adds Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto (the Adagio) and a Chopin nocturne. Its page’s own review summary says the hour felt short for the price to some travellers, which applies to all of these.
- The St. Salvator Church concert is in the main church of the Clementinum rather than the chapel, with a programme built around Bach, Handel, Schubert and Mozart. You collect your ticket at a box office a few steps to the right of the entrance, where seats are assigned, and the page recommends arriving 30 minutes early.
On the Mirror Chapel pages, wheelchair users and unaccompanied minors are listed as not suitable, and doors open 15 minutes before the start.
The Spanish Synagogue
The concert is performed by players of the Prague FOK Symphony Orchestra in a Moorish Revival interior. The programme depends on the weekday: Bolero on Sundays and Tuesdays, “The Best of World and Czech music” on Wednesdays, and Hallelujah on Mondays and Thursdays. The page lists no programme for Friday or Saturday, so look for your date. A printed programme in English is included, the interior is heated in winter, attire is mostly smart casual, and children must be accompanied by an adult over 18. The page states the synagogue is wheelchair accessible; confirm that with the operator before you rely on it.
Two more nights, if classical is not your thing
- Concert at Reduta Jazz Club, €22.57, 4.5 stars from 2,503 reviews. It runs 2 hours Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and 1.5 hours on Friday and Saturday. Arrive at least 45 minutes before shows at 7:00 pm, 7:30 pm or 8:00 pm, and 15 minutes before the 9:15 pm show. Coats and bags are not allowed in the hall, and the cloakroom is free. The venue is not wheelchair accessible, though the page says it is only a few steps to the jazz hall and the staff will help. Children under 5 enter free and the page states no age limit.
- Midday Classical Concert at Lobkowicz Palace, €25, 4.6 stars from 1,254 reviews, one hour in the palace’s Baroque concert hall within the Prague Castle complex. A Prague Castle ticket is not part of it. People with mobility impairments are listed as not suitable. For the castle itself, see our castle ticket guide.
Which one
The Mirror Chapel for the room and the most reviews. St. Salvator Church if the Chapel is sold out for your night. The Spanish Synagogue if you need step-free access or want a more intimate venue and can pay €12 more. All have free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
You can pair the Mirror Chapel with a visit to the Klementinum library and Astronomical Tower, which is the same complex, and see all concerts and shows in Prague.
