Prague Party Boat, Pub Crawl or Club Night: Which Party Fits You?

Updated October 13, 2026 · 5 min read

Dozens of people dancing with raised arms on the deck of a party boat at night

If you want one organised party night, the Boat Party with Afterparty at EPIC is the best-rated and the cheapest of the three organised nights compared here. It costs €24.62, lasts two hours on the Vltava and includes entry to Epic Club afterwards; it has 4.7 stars from 2,420 reviews. A pub crawl is the better choice if you want an open bar and to be walked from venue to venue: the Pub Crawl with Unlimited Drinks and 5-floor Club Entry costs €32.99 and the Drunken Monkey Pub Crawl €34.

The boat party and both pub crawls are for adults only, and each has restrictions you should read before paying.

The boat party

The cruise runs about two hours at sunset with international DJs, a bar and a welcome shot, and then continues at Epic Club, with entry included. It starts on Dvořákovo nábřeží at dock 10, and you need your passport or ID. The itinerary lists optional 15-minute photo stops near Charles Bridge and the Castle. Hosts speak English, French, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Turkish, Dutch and German.

The booking page lists four groups it is not suitable for: pregnant women, people with back problems, people under 18 and people prone to seasickness. The page tags the trip as wheelchair accessible, but confirm that with the operator before you rely on it. The page does not say what drinks cost on board.

The pub crawls

Both crawls are the same format. You gather at a bar, get a fixed time of open bar, and a host takes you on to three or four venues with a welcome shot each, ending at a big club with skip-the-line entry. The unlimited drinks last two hours for the early group and one hour for the late one.

  • The Pub Crawl with Unlimited Drinks (Party Provider) meets at Týnská and runs in English. Per its booking page the early start at 7:45 pm gets two hours of unlimited beer, wine, vodka, whisky, gin, rum and absinthe with mixers, and the 9:45 pm start gets one hour. It ends at Karlovy Lázně, which the listing describes as the largest nightclub in Central Europe, over five floors. Children under 18 are not suitable, and you need your passport or ID.
  • The Drunken Monkey Pub Crawl meets at U Milosrdných. The early group has its open bar at the Drunken Monkey bar from 7:45 pm to 9:45 pm and the late group from 10 to 11 pm. Drinking games and merchandise are part of the format. The listing warns that it shows selected dates only and that missing dates are not necessarily sold out. People under 18 and pregnant women are listed as not suitable.

Two smaller Drunken Monkey variants are also sold: one ending at Epic and a boat party pub crawl at €47 with 116 reviews.

The rule that shapes the format

In October 2024 Prague City Council approved a ban on commercially organised night-time pub crawls between 10 pm and 6 am, as reported by the Czech expat press. Reports describe the fines as aimed at the organisers, not at the participants, and differ on whether it covers the historic centre or the whole city, so ask the operator how it applies to your date.

The listings do not mention the rule, but their structure fits it. The open bar sits early in the evening, the guided part is front-loaded, and later venues are described as self-guided: the Drunken Monkey page says the second bar of the 7:45 pm group is self-guided with a token for a free shot, and the 10 pm group may join the self-guided crawl at any time after the open bar ends.

What it will not tell you

The booking pages say what is included, not what a night costs. Drinks after the open bar, the cloakroom and any extras are on you, and the pages give no prices for them. Budget for them before you go.

Which one

The boat party for sunset, music and a fixed finish. A pub crawl for the open bar and a crowd to travel with. The Ice Pub for twenty minutes and a photo, not a night. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before applies to the boat party and to both pub crawls.

If you would rather see the river without the music, the Vltava cruises are a calmer way to do it, and the pub crawls and beer tours page has more nights out.
